This project aimed to start a sustainable social enterprise which help to promote and vitalize the Heritage Walk Tourism in Lalitpur by performing the following activities:

  • Creating and maintaining knowledge base on the tangible and intangible heritages of the Lalitpur Sub Metropolitan City(LMC) which helped to shape tourism business and urban regeneration activities of its historic core area.
  • Producing multimodal tour guide materials in the form of
    • teaching learning contents for professional tour guides in the form of a website.
    • mobile app for tourists and enthusiasts.
  • Providing trainings on:
    • Master Training of Trainers(MToT).
    • Tourism business centric entrepreneurship.
    • Local Tour Guide training and Certification to fifty poor and vulnerable households of the ward no. 16,18,21,22 of LMC in association with Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (NATHM).
  • Showcase digital contents on heritages of Patan on Kiosks at different locations of LMC.

The primary objective of this contract is to decrease the incident of social malpractice such as sex trafficking, child labour trafficking, early marriage and unsafe migration through education, empowerment and awareness for Nepali girls, their families and their communities.

Services:

  • To develop user-friendly, dynamic MIS for the project implementer, Rural Health Education Service Trust.
  • Design reports that will provide management with the information they need to make decisions about how to design and implement better interventions.
  • Train selected RHEST staff on the operation of the database including the generation of standard and custom reports.
  • Visit field offices to collect data and information to be updated in the MIS.

Inland Revenue Department (IRD), Ministry of Finance, Government of Nepal

By supporting the revenue administration, the Nepali-German Revenue Administration Support (RAS) project, under the Guidance of the IRD and supported by the Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), on behalf of Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and co-financed by the Danish International Development Cooperation (DANIDA), contributes significantly to the Strategic Plan of the IRD. The overall objective of the project is to improve IRD’s ability to collect government revenue in a transparent and efficient way, taking due account of the corporate environment. We provided consulting services to Inland Revenue Department in order to improve their online website and Taxpayer's portal in order to ease the taxpayer to submit online submission. We also designed of mockups for software components.

Multimodal dictionary project was a part of joint academic research between Centre for Communication and Development Studies (DESCEC0) & Gothenburg University which took place between year 2010 and 2012. The multimodal dictionary is the collection of the multimodal data entries which can either be in texts, or video or audio files. As a part of the project, technically collaborating with the Outlines Research and Development Pvt. Ltd., we have developed an online version of Lohorung Multimodal Dictionary. This Multimodal dictionary is not just an online dictionary but as well as a data collecting tool for the language where the users themselves can upload their texts, video and audio files related to their community through self-sustainable community information centers.

With the growing need of time and accessibility, we have also developed an android version of the multimodal dictionary as multimodal dictionary application for android which is compatible to any models of android platform.

We developed and deployed online Entrance Examination System of Kathmandu University. KU's admission processes have been simplified to a great extent after introduction of this technology and it also yielded in a dramatic cost savings. Apart from this we are actively involved in other research and development projects with KU.

In this project we give communication design services in which we designed the print ready layouts of various reports, training manuals and documentations.

Hetauda School of Management and Social Sciences(HSM) is one of the biggest private colleges in Makawanpur District. They run various programs in management, social sciences and information technology in levels ranging from higher secondary education and bachelors to masters. We are providing IT and communication consulting services to the college since the beginning of 2010. We helped HSM build their college network and Intranet services. Today, HSM has one of the largest local area networking Hetauda. We have also helped HSM to conceptualize and design their communication to their potential students via elegant brochure, prospectus and website. We have also integrated a web application using which the college can communicate with their students, faculties and staff and provide teaching materials.

Creative Touch is a medium sized fashion industry. Style and quality over 15 years in funk fashion, Creative Touch has carved a niche amongst European clients. Creative Touch offers two seasonal collection - Spring / Summer and Autumn / Winter. Creative Touch is one of the large textile businesses in Nepal. They produce their own range of fashion wears and export them to various countries. They also sell their products to the local tourists through their 2 outlets in Kathmandu.

We made a Stock Management System and Point Of Sale application for Creative Touch Garments and Industry in order to simplify their business processes. With the new stock management system, it is easy and cheaper for them to manage their stocks of produced fashion wears. We have also designed and developed website of Creative Touch and continuously providing maintenance services in order to keep the website software up to date.

This project aimed to develop a ward profile of the ward 16 of Lalitpur Metropolitan City (palika) using household survey engaging local enumerators and by performing the following activities:

  • Literature review and study of the existing data
  • Development of a CAPI software based on Open Data Kit standards and deployment of data aggregation software in Cloud
  • Design of CAPI (smartphone and tablet) based questionnaire for household survey with consultation of the experts group within advisory committee of Ward 16
  • Conduction of household Survey of all the households (around 2100) of the ward 16 and analysis of data
