Patan Heritage Walk is a Mobile App available in IOS, Android and Stand alone Kiosks which allows users to get tourist information of the historical city of Patan. The City of Patan, also known as the city of fine arts, is one of the most prominent cities of Asia when it comes to fine arts, craftsmanship and cultural heritage. The App allows you to take a tour of Patan with 5 alternative themes namely, City of Fine Arts, Spiritual Walk, Healers of Patan, Foodies and Business. You can also use the App as a virtual tourist guide while on the tour.

With the help of this App, you can also book a real local tour guide if you want to get the personalized information about Patan from a local. If you want to experience Patan like a local, the App would be a perfect partner for you.

Patan Heritage Walk - Kiosk is part of a Tourism Business Orientation & Tour Guide Training Initiative to vitalize Heritage Walk Tourism in Patan project. This project was envisages to vitalize Patan Tourism by identifying the potential tangible and intangible heritages of Patan City and helping entrepreneurs of Patan to integrate the aforementioned heritages in different tourist centric services, where local tour guides (both virtual and real) play a key role in marketing these services.

The Patan Heritage Kiosk is a product of an initiative to produce an official tourist information of Patan which can be disseminated via various digital and traditional media. The project was implemented by Lalitpur Metropolitan City and funded by Japan Social Development Fund through The World Bank.

We developed software for Kiosk. The kiosk currently gives information to tourists about tangible and intangible heritages of Patan City. The kiosk also helps tourists to find necessary services like toilet, bank, ATM, cafe, medicine dispensary, emergency services etc. In future The kiosk will also give value added services like hotel booking, restaurant reservation, ticket reservations. These services will be linked to the service given by local businesses of Patan.

We have currently installed the Kiosks at 2 locations of LMC; Golden Temple (Hiranya Varna Mahavihar) and Tajaa Pha, Pimbahal. Anyone who is interested to know about Patan and its tangible and intangible heritages can easily access the Information Kiosk with free of costs. The kiosk has been deployed as a pilot and more kiosks will be installed if they are successful.
